About Therapy
Therapy affords a place to nurture and reflect; to tend to, and care for the human psyche so that it can flourish.
The therapy space, co-created by therapist and client, serves as a fertile ground for many such processes to take place.
Typical presenting problems
In addition to symptom reduction, I believe in the value of attending to core issues and the context with which one’s distress develops, lest they remain under- or unprocessed, creating other problems that can manifest in various ways later in life. Therapy may not just be for the psychologically disturbed, it is for anyone who seeks to foster better self-understanding and a more authentic relationship with the self. In so doing, to better manage difficulties in life, experience a wider range of affects, make lasting changes, and enable more fulfilling relationships. I have experience working with persons struggling with problems including, but not limited to:
-
Depression
-
Post natal depression
-
Anxiety, panic attacks
-
Trauma; post trauma stress
-
Abuse and neglect
-
Self-harm and suicidality
-

-
